Carly Riethmann, B.S.

Carly is a counseling intern currently pursuing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University, Carly brings a wealth of academic knowledge to her practice. Her approach is person-centered and rooted in empathy and understanding. She believes in meeting her clients where they are in their journey, providing a safe and nonjudgmental space for exploration and healing. Additionally, she incorporates mindfulness techniques into her practice, fostering greater self-awareness and emotional regulation. 

 

Passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults, Carly is committed to addressing a wide range of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment, and life transitions. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and her goal is to empower her clients to discover their strengths, build resilience, and cultivate meaningful connections in their lives. 

 

In addition to her academics, she has experience working in the behavioral health field in an in-patient facility. She aspires to create a supportive therapeutic environment where individuals can thrive and create positive change in their lives.
