Sandra is an intern currently pursuing her Master of Counseling at Arizona State University. She believes that discovering purpose and meaning in life, while living authentically, are central to healing and feeling whole. Life brings unexpected turns, losses, and chapters, and Sandra draws from an integrated, existential lens to help clients make sense of those chapters rather than simply manage their symptoms.
Her approach is trauma-informed, recognizing that what we carry inside doesn't stay contained–it shapes our relationships, our bodies, and our sense of safety in the world. Sandra works collaboratively with clients to explore the beliefs, experiences, and patterns that have shaped how they see themselves and the world around them, gently uncovering where those beliefs began and how they may have once served a purpose. Clients are invited to carry forward what still fits, with greater intention and self-compassion, and release what no longer does. Cultivating this kind of self-awareness, Sandra believes, is what builds the foundation for lasting growth and well-being on this journey of life. At the heart of her work is a trusting therapeutic relationship–a space where clients feel safe to explore who they are with honesty, curiosity, and compassion.
Sandra works with individuals across the lifespan, believing that every chapter of a person's story matters to the whole. Her practice honors the mind-body-spirit connection, and for clients who find it meaningful, she welcomes an open exploration of the spiritual and existential questions that often lie beneath the psychological distress. She works with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem concerns, interpersonal challenges, questions of identity, values, and sense of self. She incorporates evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to meet each client’s unique needs while remaining grounded in an integrated, individualized approach. Sandra strives to provide a safe, compassionate, and inviting space where clients feel supported as they move toward healing and growth.
Sandra believes that although we cannot always choose what happens to us, we can choose how we understand our experiences and the meaning we create from them. It is through that process that healing begins.
