Jody is a Licensed Professional Therapist who believes the years between adolescence and adulthood, as challenging as they can be, are also full of possibility. She earned her master’s in counseling from Arizona State University. (Go Sun Devils!)
Trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and the treatment of eating disorders, Jody brings a rare, ground-level understanding of young people’s lives. Her years as an elementary school counselor (K–6), middle school counselor (5–8), and substitute teacher gave her firsthand insight into the pressures students face — and a real fluency in how to reach them.
Jody works with preteens, adolescents, and emerging adults, along with their families, navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, managing difficult and overwhelming emotions, ADHD, substance use, eating disorders, developmental differences, and life transitions. She also has extensive experience supporting clients through college and career readiness.
Grounded in research and proven techniques, Jody’s approach is gentle, authentic, and deeply collaborative. She sees each client holistically, building a framework that draws on their strengths while addressing the areas that need care. By establishing genuine rapport with clients and their families, she creates an atmosphere of acceptance and compassion — a space where people feel understood, and where real, lasting change can take root.
Jody is passionate about helping young people ages 12 to 25 move toward growth, fulfillment, and genuine joy in every part of their lives.
